Book signings don’t come better than this!!

Clare Balding very generously volunteered to come out from the Milngavie Book Shop signing session to meet with wheelchair curler Jim Talyor but then the Stirling Wheelchair Club contingent, Judy Mackenzie (President), Fi Glass ( secretary ) and Jean Anderson ( smashing volunteer) got in on the act!

Stirling Wheelchair Curling Club is looking forward to introducing wheelchair users to the Paralympic winter sport of Wheelchair Curling. Therefore, you are invited to come and try the sport for free.
Try Wheelchair Curling for free on Wednesday 10th October from 12.30pm till 2.30pm in the curling rink at The Peak, Stirling
Always wanted to have a go, then now is your chance. The Stirling Wheelchair Curling Club meets every Wednesday at 12.30pm and new members are always welcome.
Whether social curler or aspiring Paralympian, come along and see if this is the sport for you. All ages and levels of ability welcome. Ice rinks can be chilly so an extra layer of warmth required.

Kinross Wheelchair Curling International Invitation
The Kinross Wheelchair Curling International Invitation is taking place once again at Kinross Ice Rink at the Green Hotel Kinross from the 16th to 18th October 2012.
This year there is a full international entry with teams from Scotland, Russia, Switzertland, Norway and Latvia and we are pleased to welcome two new teams this year from Italy and Finland.
This event is well worth a visit if you want to see some of the best wheelchair curling and competition or if you would be interested in helping out during the competition please contact Ena Stevenson on EnaStevenson@aol.com for the competition time schedule.

Team Korea leaves for 24 day training session in Japan!
The Korea Wheelchair Curling National Team has left for a 24-day training camp in Japan.
As explained by a manager; "The reason for going overseas training athletes, I can see two things;
One from the best training facilities in order to have sufficient training and another through the exchange of skills in local teams and sports performance improvement can be thought"
