Ideson wins the battle - Can he finish the war?

The battle for top spot happen this afternoon with Mark Ideson coming out on top of Wayne Ficek 9-3 at the Ontario Winter Games. being held in Collingwood, Ontario. This is the last opportunity for Ideson to tune his crew up before nationals and I am a little shocked the we have not seen Carl Levesque from Northern Ontario do the same. There have been 2 opportunties for either Ideson or Levesque to compete and only Ideson has taken the opportuntiy to compete.  With 9 days before Nationals we now need to see if Ideson can close the deal at these winter games. 2 weeks ago we saw Ideson sits in first place only to lose to Ken Gregory from Bradford.

Now Ideson has  2 games tomorrow to  close out these games. In what seems to be a bit of an odd schedule Ideson now faces 6th place team Prud'homme at 9am and then assuming he wins would then face the fifth place team to finish out the games at 4:30pm. Not sure how that works but we will see how things finish out tomorrow and then follow this team into nationals.

In other games we saw Chris Rees win over Pru'homme and Bruce Cameron win over Gino Sonego who is playing lead at  Nationals for Prud'homme as Host team. More tomorrow.. good curling to all!
