Team Norway has announced their team for the World Championships being held at the Uiam Ice Rink, Chuncheon City, Gangwon Province, South Korea.
The team is comprised of 2 time World Champions Rune Lorentsen and Jostein Stordahl along with a few new faces for Norway. Back at the helm as coach is long time Norwegian coach Thoralf Hognestad.
As relayed to me by Thoralf; “Our goal is the page playoffs as always, and I believe we also this year can do it.”
From left: Rune Lorentsen, (skip) - Jostein Stordahl, (vice) - Terje Rafdal, (second) - Sissel Løchen, (lead) - Per Fagerhøi (alternate).
The World championships is being held in Korea for the first time and with a look at history this is the first time that the World Championship is being held outside either Canada or Europe, a great sign of the growth of the sport world wide.![]() |
