No joy for Hugh at wheelie worlds

Published 13/02/2015 11:55

Scotland needed a win on Wednesday morning to keep their play-off hopes alive and they achieved this as they edged their USA opponents 4-2.

Scotland skip Aileen Neilson said: “It went right down to nearly the last stone so we had to dig deep. We knew we had to put a win on the board and we’re so happy that we have!”

Scotland got off to a fantastic start defeating Germany 12-2 in their first game and then Sweden 6-2 in the second. They then lost to China 6-4; Norway 6-2; Russia 6-3; Canada 6-4; Slovakia 6-5 before beating the USA on Wednesday before going down 8-4 to Finland in the afternoon session.
