The Canadian Paraplegic Association Foundation presented the province's only
competitive wheelchair curling team with a cheque for $5-thousand last night.
The money was given to help with travelling expenses. Skip Joanne MacDonald says
the team has to travel across Canada to get practice as there are no other
wheelchair teams on the island. The team is made up of MacDonald, Third-Darlene
Jackman, Second-Felix Green, Lead- Lanie Woodfine and alternate-Cecilia Carroll.
