Kawahara Receives NOCA Volunteer Award

Dave has been recognized for his contributions to our Club and to wheelchair curling. Dave is a current member of the FWCC Board of Directors and a pioneer for wheelchair curling in Thunder Bay and Northern Ontario. He led the formation of Thunder Bay Wheelchair Curling and was a major driver of our Club's elevator project in addition to leading efforts to bring both the Provincial and National Wheelchair Championships to our Club.


Congratulations Dave! This recognition is much-deserved.

Wheelchair CurlingThe Thunder Bay Wheelchair Curling Association plays Sunday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. Anyone 18 years of age or older with a physical disability can join in to enjoy the sport of curling from a wheelchair. Basic curling instruction is provided by experienced curlers.
