Our dear friend Bruce Cameron passed away
last night at 9:15pm in hospital. Bruce had been diagnosed with leukemia in
February 2012 and had taken a turn for the worse a couple of weeks ago. He had
been medically sedated over the past several days and appeared to be sleeping
soundly when we visited him last night. He spent last evening surrounded by
close friends, some family, and his wife.
Even though those of us who were close to
Bruce had been given some time to prepare, this is a loss in our lives and
within the wheelchair curling community that will be absolutely immeasurable
and extremely difficult to recover from.
