Two curlers from Falmouth’s Cape Cod Curling Club will be part of Team USA at the upcoming Wheelchair Curling World Championship Games held next month in Lohja, Finland.

Meghan J. Lino of East Falmouth will play in the WCWCG for a second time, while Stephen Emt of Andover, Connecticut, will be playing in the event for the first time. Lino, a seasoned veteran in international play, also represented the US at the Paralympics in Sochi, Russia, last March.

Other curlers representing team USA this year include Patrick McDonald of Madison, Wisconsin; Penny Greely of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and James Joseph of New Hartford, New York.

Tony Colacchio, coach of the Cape Cod wheelchair curlers, will join Team USA coach Steve Brown when the squad travels to Finland.

The competition will be played February 7 through 13. This year the countries competing are Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Norway, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Sweden and the United States.
