OCA Playdowns - Draw 2 - Completed

After Draw 1 the points are already starting to show a picture. This morning saw Mark Ideson hammer Ottawa's Bruce Cameron 13 to 2 in only six ends. Surprise, I must say after seeing Bruce play last week. In the other games, Newbie Skip and old friend Gilbert Blanchette took his team to a win over Richard Fraser, original Team Canada member.

But the game to watch was the Ken Gregory/Chris Rees battle. The games was close in the start 3-3 tie after 2 then; Chris in the early ends taking a big lead got 5 unanswered points until the 6 when Gregory took a huge 4 to climb right back in the game. The 7th saw Gregory take the lead 9-8 but then the 8th happen. Coming down to the last rock Chris threw his last stone and got a big 3 ender to win 11-9.

The games this afternoon should see if the team can settled down a bit and those that lst get a win under the belt. I think the game to watch should be the Cameron -Gregory with a close eye out to see how Blanchette takes on defending OCA champion Rees.
