UPDATED - New Brusnwick withdrawls from Nationals

Well the hopes of having 10 provinical representative at Nationals has been dashed. Offical word has come down from the CCA that New Brunswick has had to withdrawl from the National championships being held in Thurder bbay at from MArch 18-25.

In order to proceed with a full draw the CCA will return to having a HOST team from the host region particpate. As of today we have no offical word as to whom will be on that team.

Stay tune right here for more information as it develops.

UPDATE:

New Brunswick has had to withdrawl to the most dread problem of all in wheelchair curling. Not enough players. More over not enough female players.

We understand that the team did have 2 females rready to play with the team but to personal committments these players are now unable to attend.

Hope to see this team next year, and news has it PEI may have a team next year as well.

I am sorry that Micheal was unable to get the team ready to play but next year is not that far away and I hope to see him at that time in Ottawa. Good luck my friend.

Thanks George. Finding a female athlete is our main stumbling block, but there are several people on the lookout for us.

I find it odd that the goal is representation from 10 provinces. Since N.Ont is considered a separate province for curling, the goal should be 11.
