Team Gregory WINS Ontario Parasport Games

 This past weekend saw teams from around the province of Ontario come together to compete in Hunstville, Ontario.

The games saw 6 teams from Ontario compete including 1 team from Northern Ontario. As Nationals draws ever closer we also saw newly crown provincial champions Team Ideson from the Ilderton curling club compete alongside Team Fraser (Ottawa), Team Sonego (Sudbury), Team Cameron (Ottawa), Team Rees (Toronto) and Team Gregory (Bradford). The tournament was a very close one with a few surprises including four out of six teams finishing with a 3-2 record.

 The final would come down to only 2 teams; Provincial champs Team Ideson and Team Gregory. After dropping a surprise loss to Team Fraser on Friday afternoon, Team Ideson prepared for a strong fight in Team Gregory. However, Team Gregory was too much winning in an outstanding 9-1 win over Ideson.

Team Ideson must now refocus and reenergize as they compete in Collingwood and ultimately Thuderbay in just 20 short days.
