CURLING . Bruno Yizek's Calgary team opens play on Monday at the Canadian wheelchair curling championship in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Yizek, who'll be making his seventh straight trip to the nationals, will take aim at his first gold medal backed up by teammates Jack Smart, Martin Purvis, Anne Hibberd and Bridget Wilson, along with coach Andy Jones.
It's a talent-laden, experienced team; Yizek was a member of Canada's gold-medal Paralympic team from 2010, while Smart and Hibberd played for Team Canada at the wheelchair world championship last month in South Korea.
